Jackson Creek Design founder, Erin Woodward, was born in Helena, Montana. Only because Avon, Montana had a one room school house, a cafe, a bar, a church or two, ranchers, a couple of old mines, and lots of stories. While life didn’t allow Erin to stay in Avon, she was able to visit often and help during haying season.

The beginning of Jackson Creek Design can be traced back to a Christmas present created for her daughter, a purse. This purse, made with leather a some fur, was a great conversation piece and those conversations ended more often than not with “can your mom make me one.” Two years later, with an actual leather sewing machine, the first few purses were created.

Vintage furniture has always been something Erin has had an eye for, same has her parents. From her father she learned how to refurbish and from her mother to reupholster. It didn’t take long to start a collecting vintage chairs and breath new life into them. Grandkids are an inspiration too! Who doesn’t love riding a horse, or a yak, or a unicorn around the house?

I don’t know what to write here

This is Pedro. He is part inspiration, part bad mood fixer, part neighborhood alarm. Not to mention he had a huge influence on the logo.

Did you know that a donkeys “hee-haw” can reach one million decibels? Neither did we! Also a little known fact; before trains figured out the train whistle, donkeys were used to warn people of oncoming trains. They are still louder than train whistles today, just not as reliable.

Isn’t my ass cute?
